This Monday I will be 22 weeks pregnant! The past week was a good one. I had a doctor's appointment on Tuesday. Since my OB office has 3 doctors and any one of them might be delivering my baby they want me to meet all of them. This past appointment I met Dr. Lastra. He was really nice, good sense of humor, and was more then happy to answer all of my questions. He pulled me out of work due to my vulvar varicose veins. They are making it very difficult to do pretty much anything. Sitting for any length of time hurts, walking hurts, getting out of bed is very hard. I have a maternity support belt that doesn't seem to help so I may have to get some other support device. The doctor also told me that at 25 weeks I will have my glucose tolerance test. Usually they test around 28 weeks but they are testing me just a little early because I needed insulin during my last pregnancy. I am hoping I don't need insulin this time around, but if I do at least I will know what to expect. It would mean more ultrasounds, more doctor appointments, and regular non-stress tests. Then we got to hear the heartbeat which was the best part of my appointment. Henry has been very consistent and once again his heartbeat was 148 BPM.
Wednesday night I couldn't sleep. Every time I tried to get comfortable Henry started kicking up a storm. This week I have really started to feel a lot of movement and Thursday night Matt felt Henry kick for the first time!
We also got the bassinet this past week. I love it and I hope Henry does too. Wyatt never liked sleeping in his bassinet so I am interested to see what Henry thinks of it. I got a couple cute outfits for Henry too. Wyatt helped me! Wyatt loves shopping for Henry which is the cutest thing. Yesterday I also received my first shipment of cloth diapers and covers which was very exciting!
